GATE-based PSU recruitment varies widely. Entry-level positions in PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, IOCL, and Power Grid typically start at Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000 in hand, but with annual increments, performance bonuses, and perks (accommodation, medical), the effective package is often significantly higher. Top PSUs like ONGC and IOCL offer CTC above Rs. 12-15 LPA for fresh engineers. State PSUs in Kerala (KSEB, BPCL, KWA) offer packages in a similar range to PSC.

Difficulty — Which is Harder?
