It is one of the more demanding branches at KTU. The combination of theoretical subjects (Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer) and design-heavy subjects (Machine Design, Dynamics) makes S5 and S6 particularly challenging. With organised study and good notes, most students manage a respectable CGPA.
