Semester 8 is your final semester. One compulsory theory subject (MET402 Mechatronics), three program electives, a comprehensive viva, and your main BTech Project Phase II. The theory load is manageable — the real challenge is doing your project well while staying on top of the elective exams and the comprehensive viva.
Mechatronics is an integrative subject — it brings together mechanical, electronics, and control systems. The comprehensive viva (MET404) covers 5 core subjects from S3-S5 based on the same syllabus as the S6 Comprehensive Course Work. Project Phase II is where you deliver the work you initiated in S7. Start your report early and know your project inside out before the final presentation.
