Exam Pattern — Written Test

Total: 95 marks | 95 questions | 120 minutes | Negative marking: 1/3. Part A (Technical): 80 questions x 1 mark = 80 marks. Part B (Aptitude/Reasoning): 15 questions x 1 mark = 15 marks.

The technical section tests your engineering discipline knowledge at a depth comparable to GATE. The aptitude section covers numerical reasoning, logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, and diagrammatic reasoning. Unlike GATE, ISRO does not have Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions — all questions are MCQs.
